New Bitcoin Whale now third biggest Bitcoin HODLer

A new Bitcoin whale has surfaced in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Within a span of a few days, the whale bought 132878 Bitcoin. The whale is now one of the largest BTC holders in the cryptocurrency market.

While the cryptocurrency market is still in a bear market and the Bitcoin price has been fluctuating below the $23,000 mark, a new Bitcoin whale has surfaced in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The whale decided to buy Bitcoin worth over $3 billion within a short period of time.

The new whale, whose identity has not yet been revealed by the cryptocurrency community, first bought Bitcoin on July 15, 2022. The majority of the BTC was purchased by the whale on three different days. On July 19, 2022, the whale bought 15,499 BTC which were worth $345.9 million at that time. After that, the purchase amounts increased significantly.

On July 20, 2022, the whale bought a total of 45,499 Bitcoin which were worth $1.060 billion at that time. Then, on July 21, 2022, the whale accumulated 71,879 BTC worth $1.64 billion. With these purchases, the new whale is now the third largest Bitcoin holder in the world.

According to data from BitInfoCharts, the new whale currently owns 0.70% of all BTC in circulation. In total, the whale's wallet holds 132,878 BTC which are worth $2.909 billion at the current price.

As the crypto market continues to bear down on prices, large crypto whales are still active in the market and accumulating more cryptocurrency. Even though the whales are still buying BTC, their activity is not yet reflected in the Bitcoin price. In recent weeks, BTC has only seen a relatively small price increase.

It's unclear what the future holds for Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. However, the activity of the whales could be a sign that they believe there is still potential for growth in the market. Only time will tell if their faith is justified.
